Where's the Closest Kia Dealer? A Guide for Orange County Drivers

If you're in central or coastal Orange County, we're probably the closest Kia store to you — and if we're not, we'll tell you.

Sutherlin Kia is on Beach Blvd in Huntington Beach, a few minutes off the 405. Here's how to get here from around the area, and a few honest thoughts on when it's worth driving to a dealership versus handling things online.

Getting here from your part of Orange County

From Fountain Valley

You're close — usually about 10 minutes.

Take Brookhurst or Warner west, then head toward Beach Blvd. If you're near the 405, jump on southbound and take the Beach Blvd exit. From most of Fountain Valley you'll cover it in under 15 minutes even in traffic.

From Westminster

About 10 to 12 minutes.

Beach Blvd runs straight through Westminster, so for most people it's a single road the whole way — head south on Beach and you'll reach us. If you're near the Westminster Mall, you're a straight shot down Beach.

From Costa Mesa

Usually 15 to 20 minutes depending on where you start.

The simplest route is the 405 north to Beach Blvd, then south. If you'd rather avoid the freeway, Adams or Hamilton west toward Huntington Beach works, then north on Beach.

From Seal Beach

About 15 minutes down Pacific Coast Highway.

PCH south along the beach until you hit Beach Blvd, then turn inland. It's a nicer drive than the freeway and usually about the same time outside of summer weekends.

From Garden Grove

Around 15 minutes.

Beach Blvd runs north-south through Garden Grove, so like Westminster, it's often a single straight road. Head south on Beach and you'll get here without a turn.

From Newport Beach

Typically 20 to 25 minutes.

PCH north along the coast, then inland on Beach Blvd. Alternatively the 55 to the 405 north to Beach Blvd if you're coming from inland Newport.

From Irvine and Long Beach

Both are roughly 25 to 30 minutes. From Irvine, the 405 north to Beach Blvd. From Long Beach, either PCH south or the 405 south depending on traffic.

When it's worth coming in — and when it isn't

We'd rather you not waste a trip, so here's our take.

Worth coming in for: test drives, service, trade-in appraisals where condition matters, and any situation where you want to compare two vehicles side by side. Sitting in a Sportage and a Sorento back to back tells you more in five minutes than an hour of reading.

Doesn't require a trip: payment estimates, credit pre-qualification, browsing inventory, and getting a ballpark trade value. All of that works fine from your couch.

We can also deliver. If you're in the area and you'd rather not spend a Saturday at a dealership, we'll bring the car to you.

Why buy and service locally

This isn't a pitch, it's just how the logistics work.

Warranty and recall work has to happen at a Kia dealer. Your independent mechanic can do a lot of things, but not that. Having that dealer be 12 minutes away instead of 45 matters when you're getting a loaner or coordinating a pickup.

Loaners and shuttles are a proximity game. If your car needs to stay overnight, being close is the difference between a minor inconvenience and rearranging your week.

Recalls find you. When Kia issues one, you'll want somewhere convenient to handle it. It's free, but it still costs you time.

Driving to Cerritos or Tustin for a slightly different deal can make sense on the purchase. It makes a lot less sense for the five years of ownership that follow.

What we carry

The full Kia lineup:

SUVs and crossovers: Telluride, Sorento, Sportage, Seltos, Carnival (technically a minivan, but it competes with three-row SUVs and a lot of people cross-shop it)

Sedans: K4, K5

Electrified: Sportage Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid, Sorento Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid, Carnival Hybrid, EV6, EV9

Plus certified pre-owned Kias and a rotating used inventory from other brands.

And if a Kia isn't the right fit, Sutherlin Subaru is right next door — same ownership, same approach, one stop.

If you're not sure what fits, that's a normal place to start. Most people walk in knowing their budget and roughly how many seats they need, and we work backward from there.
